About This Place

Galbi King, located at 11267 National Blvd in Los Angeles, is a standout Korean barbecue restaurant that masterfully brings the rich, authentic flavors of Korean grilling to the Westside. Specializing in all-you-can-eat (AYCE) Korean barbecue, this gem offers a delicious variety of premium meats, marinated to perfection and grilled tableside, creating a lively and interactive dining experience that keeps guests coming back for more.

The menu at Galbi King boasts an impressive selection of AYCE options, each priced at an accessible US$23.99, featuring mouthwatering choices like Angus Beef Brisket, tender Boneless Short Rib marinated in savory sauces, and the delightfully spicy yet juicy Spicy Chicken Breast. Their Black Pork Belly and rich Beef Belly are highly praised, along with flavorful specialties such as Beef Tongue and Bulgogi — all waiting to be sizzled on your grill. For seafood lovers, the Spicy Squid adds a tantalizing kick, while traditional dishes like Bibim Bob and Steamed Egg round out the experience with contrasting textures and authentic flavors that sing with every bite.

One of the signature highlights is the Soon Tofu Combination — tender BBQ beef ribs or slices robustly flavored with Galbi King's special sauces, paired with a comforting soft tofu stew. These hearty dishes offer a warm, wholesome complement to the grilled meats, perfect for those seeking a diverse Korean meal beyond the grill.

Rice dishes here don't disappoint either; whether it's the vegetarian-friendly Bibim Bob packed with fresh bean sprouts and vegetables, or Kimchi Dolsot with a delightful mix of kimchi, meat, and fried egg served in a sizzling stone pot, each dish bursts with vibrant, authentic flavors. The bar is further raised by soups like the spicy yet soothing Soon Tofu, Dumpling Soup, and Bulgogi Soup that add depth and balance to your meal.

Dining at Galbi King is like stepping into a bustling Korean BBQ haven where the air is fragrant with the enticing aroma of grilling meats and the hum of satisfied diners. Though the interior may be modest and show signs of wear, as noted by some patrons, this hardly detracts from the warm and inviting atmosphere where the focus is firmly on quality food and convivial company.

Customers regularly praise Galbi King for its unbeatable value. Chris Mejia highlights it as a “hidden gem,” drawn in by the bustling crowd that’s a testament to the delicious offerings. Julian F emphasizes the “best bang for your buck” experience, relishing the quality and inclusion of premium cuts like beef tongue in the AYCE menu. The food quality consistently impresses, with Fred Hsu (“AhFah”) marveling at the quick, attentive service and the seamless way the staff manages grill grate changes and refills even during busy times. The robust sauces and fast arrival of meats enhance the overall grilling ritual, making the experience both flavorful and effortless.

Whether you’re a Korean barbecue aficionado or exploring the cuisine for the first time, Galbi King’s combination of carefully curated meats, authentic side dishes, and welcoming vibe will leave you craving that smoky, savory goodness. It’s an approachable, no-frills destination where every bite tells a story of tradition, quality, and satisfying indulgence right in the heart of Los Angeles.

This is one of the best lil hole in the walls that I had the pleasure of discovering along with everyone else dining there last night with me. When you see a line full of people waiting, it tells me the food is great. And I was right, my Korean beef, steamed egg and side dishes were amazing. The place needs some interior cleaning to do but nothing terrible either. This place lets you choose the all you can eat buffet that they bring to your table for you to cook to your preference. I loved my dish and I would definitely recommend coming here to anyone.

Still the best AYCE on the westside. Food quality is reliable and service is friendly although sometimes you have to make a huge effort to get their attention as there are only two people working the entire dining room. Variety of meats is good and the six banchan are solid. Tofu soup is also yummy!

Best bang for your buck. $25.99 for AYCE KBBQ that has beef tongue. Meat selection isn’t huge but in exchange you get quality selection. Always have had great times in Galbi King. I managed to visit on their last day of operation.

Good quality and good tasting food. Nice staff and the meat came out fast. My favorite were the beef bulgogi and the boneless short ribs.

Came here by accident but what a surprise! Great food, awesome service. Quick and automatic services without needing to call the server many times for refills, additional orders, and grill grate changes...etc. many choices of meat to start with. Could be busy at times, but awesome BBQ place if you can get in! Sauces are great as well!
